S-HELP Partners Attend ORAHS 2015 Conference

Marion Rauner and Kristina Tomic from the University of Vienna attended the EURO  ORAHS Conference in Montreal in July 2015.

The theme of the conference was “Networking Health: Facing the Challenges in Health Services Management”

Health services in many countries have faced an increase in demands and a decrease in budgets. It is a constantly evolving environment with complex challenges.

The ORAHS conference was an ideal forum to present and discuss ways to tackle these challenges. The event was in Montreal (Canada), providing the added opportunity to compare and exchange European and Canadian\North American perspectives on health services and associated issues.

ORAHS is the EURO Working Group on Operational Research Applied to Health Services. It was formed in 1975 as a special interest group in EURO, providing a network for researchers involved in the application of systematic and quantitative analysis in support of planning and management in the health services sector.
