From 6 to 7 February 2014 an exciting moment for the S-HELP project had arrived. For the first time the Consortium - consisting of 10 partners from 6 different countries - came together to get the S-HELP project started. Even the Scientific Officer from the European Commission participated and supported the project start accordingly.
Hosted by the project coordinator (University College Cork) the partners met in Cork, Ireland and spent almost two full days to get to know each other and to set the ground for a successful project start.
The first day was dedicated to the presentation of each work package followed by lively discussions. Team building exercises loosened up the atmosphere and helped to get to know each other. Some partner tool demonstrations showed interesting aspects of the future use of S-HELP. In the evening a joint dinner completed the very efficient first kick-off day.
On day 2 more work packages were presented and the partners got divided into small groups to define the S-HELP stakeholders. Final discussions on the next following steps were discussed before the meeting got closed in the afternoon.
Overall, the meeting was very inspiring and motivated the partners for the next months to come.
